Step 1: Sign Up and Load Your Employee Roster

  1. Visit SmishAlert.ai and sign up for a business account.

  2. Once your account is created, upload your employee roster to SmishAlert. This allows our system to recognize known employees and detect potential impersonation attempts.

Step 2: Deploying SmishAlert via MDM

SmishAlert is designed to be deployed seamlessly through your company’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.

  1. MDM Configuration: Add SmishAlert to your company’s app deployment policies.

  2. Device Compatibility: SmishAlert is compatible with both company-owned and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies.

  3. Privacy Assurance: SmishAlert does not track or record phone activity—ensuring complete user privacy.

Step 3: Employee Installation and Registration

Once installed on employees' iPhones, the SmishAlert iMessage app is ready for use:

  1. Open the iMessage app and access the iMessage system tray.

  2. Scroll to SmishAlert and open the app.

  3. Enter your name and company to confirm registration.

Step 4: Scanning a Suspicious Message

  1. Take a Screenshot – Follow the in-app guidance to capture a screenshot of the suspicious message.

  2. Press the SmishAlert Button – Select the screenshot you just took.

  3. AI-Powered Analysis – SmishAlert scans the sender, message content, and links (if present) and returns:

    • Threat Category: High, Medium, or Low

    • Threat Assessment: Actionable guidance on what to do next

Step 5: Enterprise-Level Security Monitoring

For business accounts, SmishAlert provides additional security features:

  • Employee Verification – The system matches senders with known employees to detect impersonation attempts.

  • IT & Security Dashboard – Your IT or security team can monitor reported threats and proactively shut down potential attacks before they spread across the organization.

Final Thoughts

SmishAlert is designed to empower employees with a simple, effective tool for scanning suspicious text messages—without invading their privacy. If just one employee reports a phishing attempt, IT can take action to block the threat before it spreads.
