If something isn’t working as expected in the SmishAlert app or iMessage extension, we want to know about it.

🛠 Step-by-Step: How to Report a Bug

Option 1: Use the Website Contact Form

  1. Select “Report a Bug” (if available) or describe the issue in the message box

  2. Include as much detail as possible (see checklist below)


Option 2: Email Us Directly

Send an email to:

🧾 What to Include in Your Report

To help us reproduce and resolve the issue, please include:

  • A brief description of the bug
    e.g., “The iMessage extension crashes when I submit a screenshot”

  • What device you’re using (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro)

  • Your iOS version (e.g., iOS 17.4)

  • Whether the issue occurred in:

    • The main app

    • The iMessage extension

  • Steps to reproduce the bug

  • A screenshot or screen recording (if possible)


🧩 Known Issues or Beta Features

If you’re using a beta build or early feature release, let us know that too — it helps us isolate feature-specific bugs.


✅ What Happens Next?

Once we receive your report:

  • We’ll acknowledge your message within 1 business day

  • Critical bugs are prioritized in our dev queue

  • We may reach out for clarification or testing help if needed
